The International Module at Bologna Business School. Bologna, Italy

The international module at Bologna Business School aims to emphasize business model innovation by focusing on the specific characteristics of worldwide known Italian companies, with a special reference to those that are established in the Emilia-Romagna region. To a broad extent, the international module aims to present specific issues of effective business model design, assessment and execution.

A selected group of academic professors, top managers, entrepreneurs and key note experts will be involved in the program in order to provide a unique experience for our overseas friends.

With reference to the five content-filled working days (Monday to Friday), every day will be fully focused on a specific issue or topic aimed at doing business in Europe or Italy, in order to give the proper depth to the sessions. The faculty director be in charge of providing a holistic view during the week.

What's Hackathon

  • The EMBA International Week Hackathon is our program's latest innovation. Participants grouped in teams will work on these challenges providing advice, suggestions, business ideas and insights. After the discussion, the final ranking and its winners will be decided, followed by a celebratory toast for the occasion.
All the sessions will be highly interactive, with the participation of top managers, entrepreneurs and experts. Participants will have access to the Bologna Business School e-learning platform, in order to know the details of the program and to receive introductory learning materials concerning the topics of each working day of the module.

Fabio Guido Ulderico Ancarani
Fabio Guido Ulderico Ancarani

Full Professor of Marketing at the University of Bologna and Associate Dean for Executive Education at Bologna Business School. Director of the Executive Master in Sales and Marketing at Bologna Business School. He has co-authored with P. Kotler, K. Keller and Michele Costabile the italian edition of the book Marketing Management. He serves as advisor and strategic marketing consultant for international and national companies, supporting them to develop customer value based innovative strategies in marketing and sales.

Riccardo Silvi
Riccardo is Associate Professor of Management Accounting at the Faculty of Economics - Forlì campus, of the University of Bologna (Italy), and member of the Department of Management Studies of the same University. He teaches Strategic financial analysis, Management Accounting and Strategic Cost Management. His research interests focus on Strategic Management Accounting, Analytical Business performance management, and Strategic Cost Management. Riccardo is affiliated researcher at CEPRA at the University of Augsburg, and was visiting professor at the Faculty of Economic Sciences of the Georg-August, Göttingen, University. He was visiting professor at Babson College (Boston), at the University of Sydney and at the McQuarie Graduate School of Management of Sydney. He is the Consortium Faculty Director at Bologna Business School.

Luca Gatti

Luca Gatti, currently European Head of Business Strategy Services at AKQA (part of WPP), has a long experience in business strategy, acquired at the Boston Consulting Group. Luca has led several business innovation projects enabled by digital technology, among others: the ENI's car sharing service "enjoy" and the AC Milan's MilanLab athletic services.
